Might as well have a Janaury transfer window thread, the Rebuild one's been going on for nearly two years now.
General transfer chat etc, if there is a decent rumour or credible links to a player start a new thread then this thread doesn't end up clogged with ten different things going on at once and it taking people ages to find any decent content, it will no doubt derail at some point anyway. If you start a new thread the very worst that can happen is no one replies to it but if it's a credible link there will be plenty replies.
January Transfer Window
Re: January Transfer Window
Not an unpopular opinion I am sure but priority for me is a capable right back!
Toffee TV for like three years have this recurring hit where they're like 'people keep saying sign a RB, you've got 3 RBS on the book and ONE left back, plus garner and JOB who can play there?'
But for me that's a bit of a weird false truth. Coleman doesn't count, patto doesn't count, whoever else doesn't count. Surely RB is a worse off position than Lb?
If someone offered you a mykolenko at RB, a right sided defender who plays at RB without completely disgracing himself, sometimes puts in good defensive performances altho constantly detracts from the football we can play, but at least is a RB we can play there without disrupting garner or Job you'd rake it surely?

Right back and a forward, likely to be loans
Need a left back and right winger as well but think we'll spend another £100 plus in the summer.

Yeah. Any sort of competent RB.
That's actually all.
I'll be fucking astounded if we pulled it off to be honest. Considering the best RB under David Moyes first tenure, Coleman, is embarrassingly still here I don't hold out much hope.

Who was the Spanish right back we wanted in the summer, was meant to go to Napoli, think Patterson was going there to replace him. All fell through.

Re: January Transfer Window
Dear Santa,
I have been a (mostly) good boy this year and I would like the following:
1) A Right Back who is fast and can attack and defend. I know I am asking for a lot. They don’t have to be the finished article, they can be in development as long as their current stage of development exceeds ‘Competent’.
2) A Centre Mid in the style of Yaya Toure. This one can also be pre-full potential. A proper baller, but big and strong and able to drag a whole team up and down the pitch.
3) A striker. This one can be older and cheaper if you like, I’m not fussy. Just a 12+ goals a season fast striker of any style you like.
Do all this for me and I promise to be a better person for the rest of my life.
Kind regards,
Toddacelli

Re: January Transfer Window
Don't expect much outside of loans really. But you never know. Would love to add a bit of pace to the RB/LB position. We've got some great ballers right now but it'd be nice to add in a little something different.

Re: January Transfer Window
A couple of good loans could be enough for us to push for top 8, if what we need is available.
Central midfielder and a right back? That would be lovely.
