Apart from Leicester fans thinking he’s the laziest player in football history, sure, that’s definitely what we need, stick him up there with Barry

Re: Tyrique George
He bounced back with a much better performance against westham, unlucky not to get an assist.
Biggest positive for me when you compare him to Dibling, he seems desperate to get on the ball and make an impact. He works hard to find opportunities to get at the fullback and get the ball into the box and seems super confident in his ability to do that. Dibling doesn't seem to have that self belief at the moment or that drive/desire to make it happen.

16 goal involvements in an absolute car crash of a team is showing he's got something about him imo.Cereal Killer wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2026 7:53 am Apart from Leicester fans thinking he’s the laziest player in football history, sure, that’s definitely what we need, stick him up there with Barry
I'm not sure you can really blame anyone for giving up a bit in that sinking ship, and he had a great season a couple of years ago too where he got 19 goal involvements.
It's signings like this that imo are fairly low risk given the likely cost. They'll need to shift him off the books and I think he'd be a lot more motivated playing for a more stable and higher level club.
Re: Tyrique George
Decent little cameo today. I’d be keeping if the price was right but sadly don’t think we have a manager to bring the best out of him

Re: Tyrique George
One who plays him?
The thing is...as much as I like Grealish, we could desperately use someone who is a bit more direct too.
I don't know if I've seen enough of George to know whether he's the right fit though. If we had of got European football, it probably would've been a bit of a no brainer but he's going to need to play regularly to kick on.

Re: Tyrique George
He’d be ideal to keep to preserve Grealish. Imagine having to deal with Grealish for most of the game then George running at you for the last 20?blueToffee wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2026 10:30 pm One who plays him?

Btw saying preserve Grealish is aimed at how he is kicked off the pitch every game, because injuries aside he always looks fit.
Re: Tyrique George
Not sure we have seen enough to know whether he is decent or not. Wasted few months really.
Re: Tyrique George
I think he looks good, but also I wouldn't spend £30m on him which is apparently what Chelsea quoted us.
If we could get him for around £20m I'd be keen as he looks very direct and like he can make things happen, but anything above that is too much of a risk.

We haven't shown that we have a decent pathway for younger players wanting to develop.
We played Dwight fuckin McNeil ahead of both George and Dibling and even played central midfielders on the wing.
I'm not sure this season has shown us anything we didn't already know.

If we have to give Chelsea 30m for anything, then I rather it be George than that donkey Delap.
Re: Tyrique George
According to Joe Thomas in the Echo Moyes wants to keep him but is trying to get the price down to £20m
