Agree we overspent during that period with Koeman/Carlo, but how much was set aside to build out a stadium. A lot lot more than the losses incurred on the footballing side.
Not knocking having a new a stadium, but the notion which we were always told that it would lead to better times is nonsense.

Nothing is guaranteed, but having the new stadium massively enhances or opportunity of having better times. Our revenue streams will go up massively, but you're right, if we invest like we did previously then times will probably stay the same, but the opportunity is 100% there to move forward
Look at the players we are linked with and it has Moyes all over it stones Bowen etc good players past their peak isn’t what we need I would sign Jack but not for big money but we have to develop Armstrong aznou dibling Tim and Barry rather then just binning them

Easier yes but no way would a 9 game winless run be tolerated here like it was at Bournemouth.
Bournemouth have done brilliantly under him no argument there, but think their signings are mainly down to their DoF / analytics team. So yes he’s coached them well but they’ve signed good players. We don’t have that many good players atm which is why good recruitment is essential this summer, whoever’s in charge. And whoever is in charge needs to play them!
I wouldn’t be against Iraola by any means but I think he’d find a massive difference in pressure working here to what he had at Bournemouth
The more I think about it the more I'm annoyed by the performances since the derby. Think a lot of that goes on Moyes. I am still giving him another season but I wouldn't at all be distressed if someone else came in.

Agree on the opportunities a new stadium presents, greater revenue, money back in the coffers on players spend.
That'll be a case of wait and see under this ownership particular with the summer coming up. That being said, a similar sized club in Aston Villa have found success. They get gates similar to what we were getting at Goodison 40k. They've not used the stadium excuse to achieve success, it's done through proper ownership and more importantly a solid structure behind an exceptionally good manager.
He has one year left so we don't want to give him too much of a say in the transfer kitty however if we don't give him a meaningful vote we just get the same old generals doing the same old thing, we refuse to think about the future and we stagnate for another year and then have this discussion in another 9 months.
Just be bold and make a forward thinking decision now.

Don't feel like theres much of a reason to give him another year unless theres not any other options out there. The results have been okay at best, his transfer vision and the clubs dont allign and hes not a long term option anyway

If he’s got 12 months left I wouldn’t be extending until we knew whether we’ve improved / got europe next season. Don’t think Moyes tends to bother renewing anyway until his contract is nearly up so we’d know by then whether to keep him on or not. That’s assuming the owners don’t want to change now, which seems unlikely given whats been said.
As for long term - how many managers are these days?
