Re: Patterson Future
Tin hat on and being honest, I’d be very disappointed if he goes. Just building up some consistency and I do think he has got something to offer long term

Re: Patterson Future
Same. Loved what I saw on his debut - definitely a player in there, but played barely any games for a lad his age so development has stalled. Just needs game time and he will be good - 100% convinced of this.

Re: Patterson Future
Patterson has been called up to the Scotland squad, ironically more likely to play at Bramley Moore for Scotland than for Everton this month.

Re: Patterson Future
Started at Forest. Won 2-0.
Benched against Brentford. Lost 2-4.
Benched against Wolves. Drew 1-1 (came on in last 3 minutes)
Started at Villa. Won 1-0.
Started against Leeds. Drew 1-1.
Played 1 minute against Brighton.
Benched for 10 games straight.
Played 1 minute against Man City.
Benched for 2 games.
He did quite well in that little spell, it's pretty damning of Moyes to completely ignore him since to play a CB at RB every week.
I'm not saying Patterson is brilliant but he did well in the chance he had and deserved more game time on the back of it.

Re: Patterson Future
Fair play to the lad a bit of a positive in a shit season where he has been underused imo
Re: Patterson Future
You have to feel for him.
Can't help feeling that with an arm around his shoulder and a run of games for form and fitness the side would have had a better balance about it, with JOB in the middle and what he brings there.
That's not to say he would have been our right back moving forwards but all every player needs is a run to see if they are up to it or not.

Re: Patterson Future
Good luck to him, hopefully he gets a game or two but I think he'll be behind Hickey and probably Ralston too.
Re: Patterson Future
It’s mad to me because he hasn’t particularly stood out as a woeful player when I’ve watched him but he genuinely can’t get a game can he.
Maybe in training Moyes is constantly having to remind him about basic stuff we laymen don’t understand and he’s just thought naw this wee guys no for me.

Re: Patterson Future
Maybe there’s some contract/obligations shenanigans going on. Weird how he can’t get on the pitch give our issues at CB.

These are the questions that now get highlighted because of the poor finish to the season.Shogun wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2026 10:29 am Started at Forest. Won 2-0.

You could repeat this really with a few of them. Rohl did well against Villa...then nothing for months but looked positive when he came back in.
Aznou, the least data we have really, one wobbly pre-season friendly then really not seen until the Sunderland cup game cameo I think where he was really positive and generally lauded even if the game situation helped...but for then to be given not a minute I think since is so fucking weird, not even worth another sub late game to see if he can be a wild card again? Especially with the Grealish injury freeing up a spot.
Dibling...who knows but it's just another on a list of weirdness when we're bringing in players like McNeil who seemingly we don't see at the club given we tried to sell in January and again the Grealish injury.

Re: Patterson Future
Should have been sold years ago. Can't remember the last time a player for us showed so little but was shown so much tolerance. Watching him fall over as Doku curled one in was painful.
I get it, he added balance to the team and did 'ok' in 1/2 games, but Keane was more than ok for most of the season and I'd pay extra to ensure we don't see him again next season.
