It was nice that Dibling got to be a bit more positive with his running before he came off. Possibly got a nudge at HT. Need to see more of that.

Really want to see George trying to shoot a bit more, he has a good shot on him but seems hesitant to have a go.

George Finney had a couple of decent moments from RB. Nice for Barry to score too.

Not much else to say, didn't really have to work for it given the goals we got.

Is it fair to say we're winning the lot?

Yes.

The press is so formidable, keepers are just coughing up easy chances.

Did we control the game?

Many patterns of play emerging?

We saw overlapping fullbacks on the left and right side, and as it wasn't our first choice options, they were capable of playing a bit and that looked OK.

The plan looked much the same as the first half of last season, we won by defending in the final third and forcing errors.

Tom King made a clean catch from a corner at the end, get him in the first team

Just travelling back from the game, a good runout and we have to consider that this is only the first preseason game and Dundee’s season has already started as they have a set of league cup group fixtures they are playing through.

Despite the huge score line, this was largely down to their keeper having an absolute nightmare but we did seem more positive when we brought on the youngsters.

I was quietly impressed with Aznou plus Armstrong and PSR Tim in the middle. Not really did a huge amount going forward in the first 60 minutes.

It’s weird that they only released 300 tickets for the away fans, although I was sitting in the main stand which is technically the home section, there were quite a number of Everton and Dundee fans mixing which was nice.

Jesus.

Didn't even realise this was today.

A deflected goal and 3 goalkeeper errors.

Onwards and upwards.

Sorry just saw this, you’ve probably seen the highlights by now, but generally speaking we controlled the game which you’d expect but not sure we saw much in terms of patterns of play that were new. Probably the most noticeable difference was Aznou overlapping with George and generally trying to join attacks from the LB spot.

Early days though. Shame Hackney wasn’t in the mix too as I would’ve liked to see how he fitted in.

I thought Aznou had a few good moments last year in the pre-season against Roma, despite how raw he was.
Hope we see more of him this season than we did last season or he’ll never develop into a player.

He seems like he’s frothing at the mouth to play.

I don’t understand why he didn’t make more sub appearances last season. Sometimes, you need that energy and it’s not like he’s a yard dog who can’t play.

I may be off but I find it cowardly.

Ok so maybe a young player might not have the same grit/understanding/responsibility (insert excuse here) but if you want to change the game you have to roll the dice sometime.

Whatever happens they’ll learn something from it and be better for it.
