He is a £50m+ player. We would likely get £60m all in with add ons if we sold this summer which, if we found someone who can deliver proper wide player numbers, we should be open to taking.

He's contacted until 2029, can't say I'm bothered what buy-out clause he wants. Get your head down and have a top season, Illi!

Take a good fee for him and let him go. He clearly wants to be somewhere else.

Romano claims clubs have been told he's "very expensive".

Feels like what he wants is to stay here on a lot more money until a time someone is willing to pay a fee hes probably pretty much already worth. Theres literally nothing but negatives in renewing him on what he reportedly wants. More money, can leave when he wants and the fee is capped.

The only way hed stay long term under that deal would be if his form dropped and we then had to pay a 40m player wages he wasnt worth. If hes really asking for this then theres no point in negotiating

I really enjoy watching him play which is more than I can say for many players or Everton in general the last 5 or more years.

That being said, would like to see more productivity and if so would think he'd go for big big money and we'd be right to take it.

Not against him leaving for the right price now but would be sad not to watch him every week.

Romano saying Al Hilal. I would be absolutely gutted if he goes and that would be a complete waste of a career as well.

If he's going then this is the ideal scenario. Get them to pay a premium and move on, personally I couldn't give a shit about his career once he leaves us, but I suspect most people would take the money on offer if it came their way

Summerville went for £60m. If he can get £80m then sad to say I think this might be the way to go. Hope he doesn't waste his career to move there though.

Exactly this, in fact I'd rather get went there than to someone like Liverpool or Man UTD

Rinse them for everything we can get, what happens to him after that is neither here nor there imo

If we are getting £80m+ for him then it’s goodbye Illi. I am not sure at what price it becomes a bad deal for us, but I can’t imagine it’s less than Summerville.

I will be gutted as he is absolutely fantastic. But it’s too much money to not take, especially as I don’t see him adding much more in the way of goals / assists.

He will be massively interested as well as his salary will go through the roof. Who wouldn’t be at this stage of his career. Ultimately it’s about making hay whilst the sun is shining.

If he goes for £70m+ and this allows us to buy a replacement and Doue or Spence, then I think the waiting to buy an RB might actually be justified.

If the money’s crazy, I think you have to take it to fund a right back, Grealish, and a midfielder.
