Dave Reddington has been named Everton Men’s Set-Piece Coach in David Moyes’ backroom staff.

Reddington was appointed in the role in the final month of the 2025/26 season, having previously held first-team coaching roles at Crystal Palace and AFC Wimbledon.

He was also assistant manager at Danish Superliga club Aarhus GF and has an extensive background in youth development.
Yep. I probably should have said ‘if Charlie Adam COULDN’T do it’ but I strongly suspect he still can’t, so I stand by my original comment.

Think he’ll be even more effective with a quick wide player like Johnson running in behind the defense too.

More opportunities for assists plus the ability to feast on simple cutbacks and square balls.
100% George and Johnson running off him.

Apologies if this isn't allowed, so feel free to move or delete if so. I posted to various club forums last year during pre-season to great success and appreciation, so I hope you don't mind the quick message.

From following my club each season, I know how difficult it is for visiting supporters to know where they can enjoy a pint and safely catch up before and after matches in new cities. So, if it helps your planning at all, we're here for you, and all Everton supporters, to enjoy while you're in Edinburgh.

I work for a hospitality group with a good selection of pubs, namely;

Biddy Mulligans (based in the Grassmarket area)
The Murrayfield Hotel (directly across from Murrayfield Stadium – closest pub by far)
The Three Sisters (Edinburgh’s biggest outdoor courtyard and screen)
Inn On The Mile (on the Royal Mile and handy for one last one before the train!)

We have a fantastic selection of draught beers, large outdoor areas and live bands on from 7pm until late. We're also open until 5am throughout the Fringe, so ideal for celebrating your 6-0 win into the wee hours for those staying overnight.

Feel free to share and tag us on Instagram or Facebook, to any WhatsApp groups, etc. We can manage any bookings, or more than happy to help anyone out with their visit as best we can.

For more information, feel free to drop me a DM, email directly craiggrant@scotsman.group, or alternatively, book directly via our websites:

Biddy Mulligans: www.biddymulligans.co.uk
The Murrayfield Hotel: https://themurrayfieldhotel.co.uk/the-bothy/
The Three Sisters: https://thethreesistersbar.co.uk/
The Inn On The Mile: https://theinnonthemile.co.uk/pub-kitchen/

Cheers lads, again, apologies if this isn't allowed, but I hope you have a brilliant day and safe travels to everyone making the journey!

Hey guys, just a heads up that I was in the city centre yesterday and it was heaving with The Fringe in full flow — very difficult to move around. If you’re looking for somewhere with no crowds and the closest proximity to the stadium then the Murrayfield is your best bet from that list by far. No booking required, walk-ins more than welcome!

Safe travels, and hoping you get a convincing pre-season boost.

Rough translation, hey guys, it's not really that bad in Edinburgh but if you want to come to a place close to the ground where it'll be 10 deep at the bar, head to the Murrayfield Hotel and hopefully you'll get served. 😉

Only trying to help — more than welcome to enjoy the bustle — we have a few gems dotted around the Grassmarket. Being here during the Fringe is pretty unique but know sometimes you just want to chill with fans and grab a few beers without worrying about transport or timings ✌🏻

Is garner fit?

Might come down to which game he wants to prioritise as the more important of the two. I could see Saturday being the priority, and a few more fringe players getting game time tonight.

Garner nowhere near fit, still recovering from surgery, forecasted to start training beginning of season.
