Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
Would be quite happy if we've helped shove Postecoglou nearer the door. Gone right off him this season, thought he was a breath of fresh air at Celtic and when he first came to Spurs but he's got bad Klopp vibes about him. Everyone's best mate when he's winning but a right arsehole when they're not, nippy and rude with the reporters, never his fault, answers questions with a question back to interviewer etc, that cringy interview about always winning a trophy in his second season(even though they might yet).
Been found out, injuries or not, they showed a stat during the game that shows it's not just this season they've been in decline, since they lost 4-1 to Chelsea in November 23 they've played 49 games and only won 19 of them. One trick pony completely incapable of changing tactics.

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
I imagine when the shite win the 2nd leg that he'll be sacked. There's injuries and then there's being 15th in the league with over half the season gone. They've still had Son, Kulusevski, Solanke and Maddison for most of the season.

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
If they both last the week, Spurs v Leicester next Sunday really does have the look of deciding the sack race.

He’ll be holding on for the Spurs job, they need some defensive stability after allEvertonfc15 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 11:24 am surely leicester will sack nistelrooy?
ideal job for dychee
Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
The defensive stat on that was very damning too, was something like 85 goals conceded. You can't concede nearly 2 a game over such a prolonged period and expect to win games regularly.Gash wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 4:42 pm Would be quite happy if we've helped shove Postecoglou nearer the door. Nippy again today. Always looks at the ground too when he's in bad fettle.
It was a belter of an opening question to be fair, I think the journos are now actively going out to wind him up.

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
If neither of them go before Sunday, Ange v van Nistelrooy should be gripping viewing. Anything possible from a Leicester win to the the first 5-5 draw in the Premier League to Spurs winning 10-0 and it's hard to imagine if they both make it to Sunday, how they both make it to another game.
In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
The subtitles are odd. He says "Everton capitalised on that" and the BBC are so unused to hearing that phrase this season that it doesn't recognise it and puts it up as "unable to capitalise on that".

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
Not quite a dreaded vote of confidence but more 'he'll take charge this weekend' for Tom Cleverley from Watford's owners.
They are a bit nuts and he's got into a run that gets you sacked by them but 21 managers in 13 years clearly isn't a plan that's working.
