Thierno Barry
Re: Thierno Barry
Still raw and needs to develop, absolutely no issue with him being back up to some Ivan Toney type older striker who can do the basics and score goals more regularly.
Re: Thierno Barry
Very impressed with some of you renaissance men in here saying you object to punching someone’s head in over sport. Hope one day to be as evolved as that.
Re: Thierno Barry
I mean, I punted my labrador off a cliff tonight when I saw both Branthwaite and Tarky were out so I'm certainly not getting on any high horses about it.
Re: Thierno Barry
Not nearly as impressive as people calling the Samaritans to make sure Dwight McNeil was ok after his transfer didn’t go through.
Now, he just say fuck him when our own player sees his mates getting attacked.
Re: Thierno Barry
It's no different to people saying 'fuck'im' when McNeil clearly had some issues going on off the field to people then getting all upset because Barry's mates got a slap for acting like bellends in the away end.

Re: Thierno Barry
It’s a sad world we live in when football support is as tribal as it is and fans of opposing teams are unlikely to be able to sit amongst one another and celebrate when either team scores.
But it’s very unlikely that culture is going to change in the future, so if fans do find themselves sitting amongst opposition fans then they have to be prudent. Of course Everton fans should be better than the actions showed but there are sadly always a few violent types who get triggered over opposition fans.

Safe to say he understands now.TheRam wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2026 9:59 pm I think people are fully condoning the violence tbh.
Think it’s pathetic myself to be throwing digs over football.
Hope the club support him.
At the end of the day, our own player has had his mates attacked by our own fans.
He’s not from here. He most likely doesn’t understand the repercussions of giving his mates tickets if they’re arsenal fans.
Naive decision from Barry to sit them there, and again naive to post what he has.

Genuinely not, it's fair to say everyone is in the wrong to whatever degree. I don't agree with the reaction...but I just don't get the way you're painting them as if they've just come down from outer space and don't know how to behave or how humans can react in certain social situations.TheRam wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2026 9:59 pm I think people are fully condoning the violence tbh.

You pull the tail on a cat...what happens? Likely nothing good and most people know that by the time they're 5. Humans particularly in a crowd and possibly with added alcohol aren't much different in these scenarios.
Re: Thierno Barry
He quite simply should not have been allowed to deprive loyal away fans of tickets by purchasing them for his Arsenal mates, he could easily afford premium hospitality, that’s on the club for giving him them tickets !blueToffee wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2026 9:54 pm I'm not going to condone violence. I don't think anyone is saying that.
But really it's just so dumb...what were any of them thinking? Couldn't Barry pay over the odds to get them seats in an Arsenal section, he has the kind of money and connections to get that done in all likelihood even if he needed to pay a premium. What were his friends thinking too if the post was true about them making fun and filming Everton fans leaving? That's just stupidity on stupidity. Have a little respect for those around you and chances are nobody would give you a second look.
Re: Thierno Barry
In fairness I think every club reserves an amount of away tickets for the players. I'm guessing they don't expect them to give them to people wanting the opposition to win though.

Re: Thierno Barry
Onto the game itself. Maybe it was just the way the game was going and us looking to sit deeper, but we seemed to lose any semblance of an attack when he came on today. Was one of his poorer performances I thought, and honestly if we're trying to play this way I can see why Beto is getting the nod as he's going to battle for stuff and chase more lost causes.
Disappointing one from him today.

Re: Thierno Barry
He's probably just trying to deflect from the fact that he was absolute shite again when he came on.
