Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
Funny old game, Chelsea have created such a batshit crazy environment that sacking someone after 3 months who had a 5+ year contract seems like a
reasonable decision.
reasonable decision.

Surely neither party would stupid enough. He'd just be another bonkers move by the club and from his point of view he's just building his reputation back up, why go to a club where there's every chance you'll be sacked within a year and effectively end any chance of a career at a top level.

He won't go there.
Already messed up there twice.
Just got Coventry up after 25 years. Will want to have that first season back in the prem.

Any talented manager with a brain would do well to stay well away from the Chelsea owners.
Normally you'd think a manager like Iraola would fancy the Chelsea job, but apparently he wants nothing to do with them. You'd imagine ambitious managers thinking clearly would think similarly.

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
Yeah, assuming he stays in charge, it's a one season only visit so he wouldn't want to miss it. He could really do with something like Millwall and Hull scrambling the other two promotion spots to give him any sort of realistic shot at staying up. If it was Ipswich and Southampton who made it, I'd be fancying he's got a great chance of finishing bottom.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2026 7:02 pm He won't go there.

In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.
