Didn’t they say it happened in training, as in it was a particular incident?

Said he'd been carrying it for a few weeks but hadn't told anyone. Think it might have been during training he alerted someone to the problem but they never specified a time or place it happened... Which sounds more like a stress injury than impact to me.
