Bizarre but it looks like he kept it in. Don't know what Digne was doing.

Missed the game but seems like Forest got a little lucky.
That looked a red card all day, even more so in Europe you’d think.
Slightly concerned now that Villa half arse it against Spurs next game though. That and Forest getting CL football feels off somehow.

Desperately want Spurs to go down and while I would usually enjoy Villa losing anything and everything including tonight, I've long had a suspicion they would chuck in a stinker against Spurs on a rare occasion I could tolerate them winning.
In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.

Me either, but last year's relegation candidates had as many wins as we did (11) and 5 more than 18th place. They were never in trouble.Blues Mahoney wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2026 7:40 pm Can't be arsed with Forest winning the Europa.
Will be the 2nd season in a row that a relegation candidate gets rewarded with Champions League football the following season.
Think it's more a function of teams that either aren't the big boys, or those with limited or injury-ravaged squads that struggle to maintain League form... Or more to the point don't even really bother with the league as they know they've got a chance of European riches, which is the driver.
That either creates or maintains the finances required to compete at the top and keep and supplement their best players with more good ones. There's bugger all financial difference between finishing 7th and 17th, and the guaranteed funds for qualifying for the Champions league, so I guess why not throw it all at Europe if you've got the opportunity over a handful of games, than be too heavily concerned about the 38 in the league.
