For a half-second I thought you meant Koeman…

Enner Valencia still representing Ecuador at a World Cup at age 36.

Hell of a career for a player who wasn’t even good in his prime.

Well...
We scored a VAR goal... Or something :?

Strange feeling to get a positive VAR decision....

Snicko revealed a faint touch- didn't seem obvious from the vision but fair enough. Nice GD.

How is Potter perceived by the fans?

True with the GD. Basically in the last 32 already.
Two 2-0 losses would probably be enough now.

People in general hold him in very high regard.
He did very well in Sweden before moving to PL.
So he is very trusted. But the manager before him was a total disaster so for him to be more popular wasn't hard work.
But he took us to the WC against all odds (and not very well deserved) so getting out of the group is deemed a great success. If we do...

Both overnight games looked good on the highlights. Ecuador so wasteful and should have had the game dead and buried.

Sweden looked really good attacking!

And lol at the Germany manager giving it the big beans when they went 1-0 up against the mighty Curaçao  it’s not Argentina in a semi final

Wanted to watch Netherlands Vs Japan on catch up this morning, but someone in a WhatsApp school group mentioned the score before I put it on 😡

Watched highlights of all the matches though, some good goals scored by Sweden!

Germany battering Curacao was expected and shows why these matches are just a total farce. Lovely for one for the Curacao players to have the experience of scoring at a world cup though.

Can't remember an opening of a world cup as good as this to he honest.

Some real quality on show and some great matches.

I'm actually digging the kick off times and format, don't mind it.

As @AjaxAndy said, I don't mind missing the morning games because it's nice making my morning coffee and settling down to watch the highlights on BBC Iplayer not knowing the scores.

Quite content with it at the moment, been a quality tournament so far.

Fair bit of spoiling happening when watching an early live match and the commentators refer to the 'overnight' scores in other games - you wish they'd at least allow 24hrs for everyone to catch up.

Always happens though.

Ah yeah that'd be really annoying!
