The Seamus Coleman factor
Re: The Seamus Coleman factor
I would imagine there are quite a few players that joined later on in their career, made their debut and then retired while at the club.

Bit different playing 30+ games , ok it was under the same manager debut and retired but not sure its the same

Yeah , I know, I was just taking Bally's question litterally.weimaranerblues wrote: ↑Thu Apr 17, 2025 6:47 pm Bit different playing 30+ games , ok it was under the same manager debut and retired but not sure its the same
You could add first and last proffessional game, but of course he played for Sligo before his Everton debut, possibly Blackpool on loan too, maybe not, memory is sketchy.

Re: The Seamus Coleman factor
Might be someone under Kendall across his spells? Kevin Ratcliffe is pretty close for example.

Can't think of many that would've done this either way no matter the manager
Suppose Ferguson was it 25 years??? and Wenger 22 years??? Would have a few like
But without injuries and their career coming to a natural end there's not going to be many that have achieved this.
Big dunc made his debut under joe royal I think

Re: The Seamus Coleman factor
Joe Royle signed Dunc on a permanent basis, but he made his debut whilst on loan with Iain Durrant, under Mike Walker
Re: The Seamus Coleman factor
He means Alex Ferguson.
As in players like Giggs and neville would have made their debuts and retired under Alex Ferguson.

Re: The Seamus Coleman factor

Re: The Seamus Coleman factor
Dunc's first Everton goal came in Joe Royle's first game in charge, but he made his Everton playing debut under Mike Walker

Re: The Seamus Coleman factor
I remember Ablett getting a winner and Big Dunc played in that game think it was West Ham , was on Holiday in Tenerife.
But how is Big Dunc comparable to the Coleman factor @4evablu

Re: The Seamus Coleman factor
That West Ham win was our first of the season, Walker got sacked after the next game
