Bjarni Vidarsson

Bjarni Vidarsson (born May 3, 1988) joined the club from Icelandic side FH Hafnarfjörður in the summer of 2004.

Naturally a central midfield player, Bjarni can also be deployed on the left side of midfield or up front.

A tall elegant footballer, Bjarni displays good skill on the ball, can read the game well and knows where the back of the net is.

Vidarsson has represented Iceland at under 16, 17, 18, 19 and 21 levels and is rated as one of the country’s hottest prospects.

He has been an un-used substitute twice so far, both up in the north east, against Newcastle in February and Middlesbrough in May.

In March 2006, he signed a two year professional contract with the club.
