Graham StuartThe graduate from the FA School of Excellence was snapped up from Chelsea for £850,000. Stuart could and would play just about anywhere for the Toffees. By far his most famous role was as a life-saver. Although he scored only three goals in the disastrous 1993/94 season, two of them were instrumental in the club continuing in the top flight.

All Blues know that on the last day of the 1993/94 campaign Everton needed three points to avoid relegation and that Wimbledon went 2-0 up. The, cometh the hour, cometh the man. Stuart reduced the arrears before half time when he converted a dodgy penalty and then scored an equally dodgy winner with the clock running down. The next season saw him help Everton win the FA Cup.
