Arguably Snodin’s best days were at right back. He excelled in his new role and received an England call up for the 1992 friendly with Greece. Unfortunately he had to withdraw from the squad because of injury. Then a few weeks later he suffered serious hamstring problems. While Snodin endured several medical operations during his attempts to regain his fitness, he failed to reclaim the number 2 shirt.
