After agreeing terms with their neighbours, Snodin elected to join Everton. He had earned a reputation as an aggressive and constructive midfielder at Leeds and his style of play was warmly received at Goodison. Success was immediate. Drafted in to cover for the injured Paul Bracewell, he excelled in the side that captured the 1987 League title.

Arguably Snodin’s best days were at right back. He excelled in his new role and received an England call up for the 1992 friendly with Greece. Unfortunately he had to withdraw from the squad because of injury. Then a few weeks later he suffered serious hamstring problems. While Snodin endured several medical operations during his attempts to regain his fitness, he failed to reclaim the number 2 shirt.
