Niasse: I would love for my dad to know I was a Premier League footballer

Oumar NiasseEverton striker Oumar Niasse says that if he could be granted one wish it would be to bring his father back to life so he could watch him play just one game of football.

Niasse says that his father didn’t initially want him to play football for a career, and passed away after the striker’s first season in professional football.

He said that it would be his dream to have his father watch him play at Goodison Park, even just once.

“Easy, to bring my dad back to life against so he could watch me play, even just for one game,” he said.

“He didn’t want me to play football at first and then he passed away after I’d been playing for just a year.

“If he realised his son was now playing in the Premier League, he’d be so proud. If he was here for one more day, I’d take him to watch me at Goodison Park.

“To win the Golden Boot in the Premier League. It’d be great to be able to tell my kids that I was the top goalscorer here in England.”
