Don’t wear a red shirt at Goodison!
Everton boss David Moyes has told the official site that he expects Everton’s good form to continue in tonight’s Carling Cup clash with former club Preston North End.
“I know how important the game will be for Preston and how big the game will be,†he said.
“But we are the Premiership side and we are at home. We’ve got a decent record at Goodison, so I want to try and continue that.
“We’ve got two big games coming up on Wednesday and Saturday and I’ll be taking that into consideration when I’m making my team selection and how we go about the game.”
Moyes knows many of the players at Preston from his days there as manager, and knows what to expect from the Lilly Whites.
“Preston have got some very good players and I know how hard they will make it for us on Wednesday,†he continued.
“When I was manager there, Preston came to Goodison in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup in the year 2000 and the lads put on a very good show.”
Preston will be bringing close to 7,000 fans for tonight’s game, so the club are urging Evertonians to get to the match and show support for the blues. £15 for adults, £10 for kids and the old folk, pay on the gate.
