According to reports in Portugal, Everton are set to sign Portugese international defender Nuno Valente.
Apparently a fee has been agreed and he is on his way to Merseyside for a medical. “A fee has been agreed, and I am to undergo a medical” said the defender.
Valente is a prominent left back, a position which David Moyes has been experiencing serious trouble trying to find sufficient cover for, and will make an excellent addition to the side should he join.
Valente joined FC Porto in 2002 under Jose Mourinho, and will be keen to impress in the Premiership.
