Our intrepid reporter Watty has filed his latest report from sunny Spain, where Everton take on Villarreal tonight in the second leg of the Champions League third round qualifier, and it appears that Valencia has become a sea of blue – and rather sunburned flesh!
The majority of Evertonians are gathered just around the corner from this webcam of Valencia’s main square, with around 2,000 already congregating around a bar called Finnegans.
Watty has described the atmosphere as “electric” and “hot” – we do hope he manages to find plenty of liquid refreshments to keep him going!
With just 7 hours until kick-off, the atmosphere is sure to grow as the Blues who have made the journey to Villarreal continue to increase the volume to hopefully make the team feel at home when they take to the pitch at 9pm UK Time.
The Spanish aren’t used to away fans at their grounds, and you can be sure that they won’t have seen anything like the true Blue support out in Spain at the moment!
