Alan Stubbs has rubbished rumours that he is hoping for a move away fromt Sunderland back to the club he supports, leaving Everton with only David Weir and three World Class central defenders to choose from – whatever will we do?
Big Al, as he is known to intmimate friends, told Sunderland’s official website, “I don’t know where they have come from. There’s nothing in it – end of story. I sometimes feel if you start answering these stories it gives them credit. It’s better to ignore them.”
“Yes I was at Goodison Park last weekend, watching a team I have supported since I was six years old. I was with my little girl who is an Everton fan.”
“I don’t feel I need to answer questions about taking my little boy or little girl to watch a team they support.”
Matteo Ferrari, Joseph Yobo, and Per Kroldrup – in particular Per – are all glad that their places, or possible places, in the team are no longer at risk.
