As the Aaron Ramsey persuit gathers pace, former Wales and Everton captain Kevin Ratcliffe believes a move to Goodison Park would be perfect for the young international.
Cardiff have confirmed that Everton, Arsenal and Manchester United have all had bids of £5m accepted and that the player has been given permission to hold talks.
Ratcliffe said: ”I think it’s about playing first-team football.”
”I think he has more of a chance at Everton of gaining that first-team experience and going that next step.”
Another aspect which may help Everton’s cause is the fact that Cardiff’s management team is made up of two former Everton players in the form of manager Dave Jones and assistant manager Paul Wilkinson.
”I’m sure he [Jones] will tell him everything he knows about the football club and so will Paul Wilkinson,” he added.
”There’s plenty of background for him to get to know about the club from other people down there.” …discuss this in our forum…
