Ian Holloway has said he wants to keep Seamus Coleman at Blackpool next season, but that Premier League rulings on loan players may have to force him to look elsewhere.
The Premier League do not allow the same number of players to be loaned by a club as in the Championship, so Coleman could well stay at Everton and fight for his place.
“The rules are very different now, especially when you think that we had seven players on loan last season and 21 the year before that,” Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette.
“Now we can only have two at the same time – and they can’t be from the same Premier League club – so that’s thrown a bit of a spanner in the works.”
