Sources are indicating to NSNO that Leighton Baines has signed a new deal with Everton.
Baines signed for Everton in the summer of 2007 on a 5 year deal from Wigan in a deal that would eventually make his fee around £6m, following an initial payment of £5m.
In his first season he was kept out of the side for long periods as Joleon Lescott shone at left back, but in his second season he made that role his own and has since formed a formidable partnership with Steven Pienaar on Everton’s left hand side.
Securing Baines on a new deal will now spell an end to recent speculation over Bayern Munich making moves on the Kirkby-born defender.
