Mikel Arteta says the atmosphere in the dressing room at Everton was the best he has ever experienced.
The Spaniard was sold on deadline day after Everton agreed a £10m fee with Arsenal, but Arteta took some convincing to leave The Blues despite the fee being agreed early in the day.
“I left behind the best dressing room I’ve ever been in, without a doubt, with jokes and great characters,” Arteta told AS.
“I have come to one that I do not know how to be, with many nationalities, more languages, younger people. And I’ve been very pleasantly surprised.
“I have Brazilian friends on the team, and I knew Yossi Benayoun, Per Mertesaker is a fun German.”
