Tim Cahill will remain an Everton player, it seems, despite having negotiations with Chinese club Guizhou Renhe.
The club’s chairman says that the Australian international had spoken to him about a move to China, but a “technical problem” stopped the move going ahead.
“The club actually had negotiations with Tim Cahill, but failed to reach an agreement,” he told reporters after Cahill was spotted at Wednesday’s Chinese FA Cup clash.
“There were some technical problems, so Mr Cahill visits Guizhou this time. We really hope he could be interested in Guiyang and our club.”
