Kevin Ratcliffe will make the draw for the fifth round of the FA Cup this afternoon, with Evertonians hoping he picks out an easy tie for the Blues.
Ratcliffe was the youngest Everton captain to lift the FA Cup in 1984 after the Blues beat Watford 2-0 at Wembley, and the boyhood Blue went on to become Everton’s most successful captain of all time.
He will be hoping he can hand a home draw to his club, and will be joined by former charge Nigel Jemson, who famously helped Ratcliffe’s Shrewsbury side knock Everton out of the cup in 2003 at Gay Meadow.
The fifth round matches will be played on the weekend of 16 and 17 February, and the draw takes place after the Liverpool v Oldham game on ITV1.
