The Croatian, who had joined Everton two years ago this month, has signed a three and a half year deal with the Tigers after the Toffees accepted a fee for his services from the Humberside outfit.
Jelavic, who had stated his desire to play first team football, in a bid to cement a place in his national side’s squad ahead of this summer’s World Cup in Brazil, burst onto the scene for the Blues after making his debut, netting 11 goals in 15 outings in the second half of the 2011/12 season.
But after scoring 3 times in 5 matches at the start of the 2012/13 season, the goals dried up and the 28 year old eventually lost his starting place in the Everton side after the arrival of Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea.
He made his final Everton appearance in the 4-0 FA Cup third round win over Queens Park Rangers ten days ago, and signed off by scoring a brace in front of the Goodison faithful.
Everyone at NSNO would like to wish Nikica well with the rest of his footballing career, apart from the match at the KC stadium in the coming months!
