Holtby: My Dad wants me to play for Everton

Lewis HoltbyLewis Holtby has revealed that his father wants him to sign for Everton and was emotional when he saw Holtby play for Spurs against his boyhood club.

The German international, whose father supports Everton, has said in the past that he has always looked out for Everton results, and his name has been linked with a move to Goodison Park ever since he signed professional terms with Schalke.

Holtby could line up against the Blues for a third time for his loan side Fulham later this month, but says that his father would love to see him play for Everton.

The Spurs man said, “My dad wants to see me in the blue of Everton and had a tear in his eye when he saw me play for Spurs against Everton.

“Although he was happy that in the two times I played Everton his team was not beaten!”
