Speaking in German at a press conference at Finch Farm, the Bosnian international said that he feels the set up at Everton is fantastic and he is pleased to have made the step up.
“First impressions have been really good,” said Besic. “The whole set up is fantastic at the club.
“I had three weeks’ break (after the World Cup) but now I am fit and focused on the task at hand. I am raring to go.
“I have been looking to make that extra move up in the last couple of years and so I’m happy to make that move now.
“I will play wherever the coach wants me to play. But if it is down to me then I would play a holding midfield role.
“I have got respect for my team-mates and they are great players but I have come here to play.
“I’m here to do my best and see how far we can get.”
Who will Besic play alongside the most next season?
