The Blues struggled to get any sort of control of the game in France but Martinez says he is happy with the clean sheet which keeps Everton top of their Europa League group.
“I thought it was a very pleasing clean sheet,” said the manager.
“We knew Lille we’re going to throw everything at us and I thought we coped with that extremely well.
“I’m a little bit disappointed that the condition of the pitch didn’t allow us to be on the ball like we normally are as the pitch was really difficult to have good ability on the ball.
“But it’s another very good away performance, another good point and another strong performance from everyone.”
