Everton want to go unbeaten until end of season

James McCarthy full sizeEverton midfielder James McCarthy says he and his side want to go unbeaten until the end of the season in order to finish as high up the table as possible.

The Blues beat Manchester United 3-0 yesterday at Goodison Park which sees them unbeaten in the last six games, and with four games left would be one of the longest unbeaten runs in the Premier League era for the Blues.

“Obviously it’s been a frustrating campaign,” said McCarthy.

“But we’ve picked up a few wins on the bounce now and we want to kick on and finish the season on a high.

“We don’t want to get too carried away, but obviously it’s a big win against Man Utd, but we’ll take it one game at a time now and try and go unbeaten until the end of the season.

“From start to finish we were magnificent all over the pitch and it’s a big three points that will help us finish as high up the table as we can.”
