Blues to play Boro in Quarter Finals

capitalonecupEverton have been drawn against Middlesbrough in the quarter finals of the Capital One Cup.

The Toffees will make the trip to Teeside after progressing past Norwich City following a 4-3 penalty shootout victory at Goodison Park on Tuesday evening.

Middlesbrough secured passage to the last eight of the competition after beating Manchester United 3-1 on penalties following a 0-0 draw after 120 minutes of football.

The match at the Riverside Stadium will be the first between the pair since March 2009, when the Blues were 2-1 victors in the 6th round of the FA Cup – a run that saw them finish runners-up after being defeated by Chelsea in the final.

The quarter final ties will be played the week commencing 30th November, with ticket details to be announced in due course.
