Martinez was speaking to the media ahead of Saturday’s clash at Newcastle and was asked about the stories circulating that Everton are about to be taken over by two Americans that nobody had heard of before yesterday, but are today excited about.
Martinez said that it wasn’t his place to comment on the rumours, but that as soon as the club have some news, they will share it.
“I don’t think it’s anything to be commenting on, it’s not something for me to go into details [about],” he said.
“We know what a fantastic chairman we have and our board will always look out for the best interests of the club.
“We have an exciting team and the youth and talent in the dressing room reflects that spirit in the boardroom. When we have something to share, as always the fans will be first to know. Whatever happens, we are in great position and in the best possible hands.”
