Kenwright says Martinez is safe in his job

Farhad Moshiri and Bill KenwrightEverton chairman Bill Kenwright reportedly told one fan yesterday that Roberto Martinez would not be sacked this summer.

The fan posted on Twitter after meeting both Kenwright and new major shareholder Farhad Moshiri on the train to London after yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Southampton at Goodison Park.

The Tweet said that Mr Kenwright told him that Roberto Martinez has next season in order to improve things on the pitch, and he went on to add that both Kenwright and Moshiri were very friendly with him.

That stance confirms what NSNO have been told by people within the club, that Martinez is still the preferred man to turn things around at Goodison Park after two years of failing to build on a fifth place finish that Martinez achieved in his first season at Everton.
