Walsh wants Everton move

stevewalshRumour has it that Leicester City assistant manager Steve Walsh wants to be given permission to speak to Everton, but that the Premier League champions are reluctant to let him leave.

Everton want Walsh as Director of Football and have already had one approach for his services rebuffed by Leicester, but now rumours have surfaced that Walsh is hoping their stance changes and he can complete a move to Goodison Park this summer.

Walsh is credited with bringing in Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante who helped fire Leicester to the Premier League title last season, and those players weren’t a fluke.  During his time working at Chelsea he recommended the signings of Torre Andre Flo and Gianfranco Zola before working with Andre Villas-Boas as well as recommending the signings of Didier Drogba and Michael Essien.

A proven talent spotter and a likeable character, it is understandable why Everton will keep up the pursuit of their man until he joins the Blues.
