According to Sky Sports News, Everton have entered negotiations over a fee for Newcastle’s want-away midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
The Magpies apparently want an incredible £30m for a player who has never looked like he wanted to play for them but Everton don’t want to be held to ransom on deadline day.
Sissoko had been given permission by the French national team this morning to leave training to join a new club, but he didn’t know where to fly to as there were a number of clubs interested.
Rumour has it that he is still at Paris Charles du Gaulle airport awaiting confirmation of his destination.
A powerful box-to-box midfielder, Sissoko would likely partner Idrissa Gueye in the midfield at Everton as a long-term replacement for Gareth Barry.
