Davies was given his debut in the last game of the season under Joe Royle and David Unsworth, and Ronald Koeman has given him plenty of time to impress during pre-season, with the 18 year old even filling in at right back.
Now, with just a year left on his current deal, Davies will be offered an improved contract to reflect his status within the squad.
A silky first touch, an eye for a pass, and the fact he is not afraid to stick a boot in every now and then have meant Davies has caught the eye of many an onlooker, and he was invited to train with the senior England squad last season.
A new deal will likely commit his future to the Blues and mean that another talented youngster has come through the academy at Everton.
