Everton face Norwich City in the EFL Cup

EFL CupEverton will face Norwich City in the EFL Cup third round next month as Ronald Koeman’s men look towards their first chance of silverware.

The Blues have been handed a home tie for the second round running after beating Yeovil Town 4-0 at Goodison Park last night.

Everton have faced Norwich three times in the League Cup, winning one, drawing one, and losing one, with the most recent tie in the competition going to penalties last season.

Everton’s last normal-time win in the League Cup against Norwich was thirty years ago in the 4th round, when Adrian Heath, Trevor Steven, Graeme Sharp and Kevin Sheedy all got on the score sheet in a 4-1 win.

You have to go back to the early-70’s for Norwich’s only win against us in the League Cup.
