Coming in for the out-of-form Phil Jagielka, Funes Mori admitted it too a while to get up to the pace of Premier League football again, but said he enjoyed being part of the team and wants that to continue.
“It’s been a while since I played,” Mori said.
“I had to wait for my chance to be a part of the team.
“I went in for this game and it was nice to play. I always try to do my best, on and off the pitch.
“Every time I want to be in the starting 11. For some reasons I wasn’t starting but I kept my focus, kept training and I got my opportunity.”
