Lookman was a late, late substitute as Everton were coasting to a 3-0 win over Manchester City, but then a poor clearance from John Stones cannoned off Seamus Coleman and gave the former Charlton striker his chance.

“I’m delighted to have been able to come on, help the team and score my first Premier League goal. It was great to just finish the day off.
“The gaffer said I should play behind Romelu Lukaku and I was lucky to anticipate the ball.
“Everything has been really good since I have been here. To be around players that I grew up watching and learn off them every day is great.”
