Reports in Italy suggest there has been a breakthrough in talks and that Deulofeu could be on his way to Italy to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical in the morning.
Arriving with bags of potential in 2013 Deulofeu chipped in with goals and assist up until he was dropped by Roberto Martinez midway through last season.
He has never regained his form and new boss Ronald Koeman clearly doesn’t feel that Deulofeu will fit into his plans for a remodelled Everton.
We wish Gerard all the very best, and thank him for taking the time to speak with us for our Everton fanzine last season, as well as the moments of brilliance he has shown on the pitch for Everton.
Milan have this evening confirmed the deal.
