The former Liverpool and Spurs man was speaking before Everton’s 3-2 defeat at White Hart Lane this afternoon and said that after spending time with Barkley during Sky Sports’ visit to Finch Farm, he thinks Barkley will leave Everton.
Barkley has come through the ranks at Goodison Park and was a senior England international in the same season he made his first start for the club under Roberto Martinez, but his form dipped and under Ronald Koeman has needed guidance from the manager to regain his form.
“I was with Ross Barkley this week, what I noticed is that there is a lot of self-analysis going on, trying to improve, realising he needs to get better,” Redknapp said before today’s game.
“He’s got 18 months left on his contract, he’s in a great position, I personally think he’ll move on. I’m not sure he’ll stay at Everton now.”
