The Blues had seven players in the 18-man squad under the age of 22 and Koeman says that it’s incredible to get to a point where they’re disappointed not to win at Manchester United.
“I’m pleased,” he said.
“I didn’t expect a reaction. What I spoke about after the Liverpool game, I said I was proud of the team and I’m still proud.
“If you see the age of the players, we had seven players 22 or younger in the squad and that’s also really incredible.
“You get one point and maybe we deserved all three but one point is not bad.
“It’s really painful how we don’t win the game.
“Yes, it’s a penalty but one minute before the end is really painful.”
