Koeman: We started too slowly

Koeman disappointedEverton boss Ronald Koeman says he was unhappy with the way his side started the 3-1 win over Burnley at Goodison Park.

The win made it 8 league wins in a row for the first time in the Premier League era, but Koeman knows that every game is difficult to win in the Premier League.

“Not a 90 minutes good performance,” said Koeman.

“I think it took 25 or 30 minutes in the first half to understand what we had to do better, I think Burnley started with more aggression that us and we found it difficult.

“After the first 45 minutes, yes, with the substitutions we made brought a bit more aggression and maybe a bit more football in the middle.

“They’re physically strong with a lot of aggression and we need to be prepared better than we were in the first 25 minutes.

“Another win at home is really important.

“We are breaking a lot of records!  Every game is a difficult one but it’s the same for everyone.

“Everything is possible.”
