Everton striker Romelu Lukaku was apparently given assurances that he could leave the club if the right offer – from the right club – came in for him.
The Blues fought hard to keep hold of the Belgian last summer, and many felt that he had been told he could leave this summer if Everton failed to qualify for the Champions League.
Lukaku bagged more than 20 goals this season, but Everton finished seventh and qualified for the Europa League instead, and his agent says that he could leave this summer.
“Lukaku had a promise that if certain clubs came this summer that he could leave this summer,” Raiola said.
“We are not in concrete talks with anybody at this moment, but hearing the market I think some clubs will contact Everton.
“If the price is right for Everton and the project is right for Lukaku then I think he will want to make another step, but we are not there yet.”
