Everton are said to be preparing a bid for Arsenal striker Oliver Giroud should Romelu Lukaku finally leave the club.
Giroud has been in and out of favour at Arsenal, but always seems to have an eye for a goal and despite his advanced years, the 30 year old could still be an option for Ronald Koeman.
Lukaku is said to be leaving Everton this summer, although there have been no offers for the Belgian striker, and Koeman is planning for the future.
Young Spanish striker Sandro Ramirez is all-but signed, and it is thought that Giroud would give the youngster an experienced foil to play alongside as he is introduced to the Premier League.
