Everton are on the verge of splashing the cash even further this summer as the Blues are close to signing Ajax captain Davy Klaasen in a £25m deal.
The Blues have already snapped up Jordan Pickford from Sunderland in a record fee for a British goalkeeper, and could not see the summer spending soar to over £50m if Klaasen joins.
Stories this morning claimed that Klaasen had agreed personal terms but was yet to face the dreaded Everton medical team.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman last season bemoaned a lack of creativity and goals from midfield, something Klaasen would offer in abundance.
