New Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford says that he hopes to make his debut at Goodison Park in the Europa League on Thursday.
The former Sunderland man says that although he has only been back in pre-season training for less than a week he feels the team are coming along nicely.
“I have only been back for five or six days but the manager has put me in for the first half and I have not felt off the pace,” Pickford told evertontv.
“I felt like I was ready. I could have played the whole game but it’s down to the manager.
“I’ll be getting my head down in training on Monday and hopefully I will be selected for Thursday. It would be fantastic to make my debut at Goodison.
“As a group, we are coming along nicely.”
